Make It Gold Gameplay: What to Expect?

Make It Gold is a game with the Cascading Reels feature, where payouts are activated when three or more equal symbols appear on adjacent reels. It’s a highly volatile slot, where high-paying rounds don’t come often. Every spin starts with a playing field with a height of four, but wins always retrigger a spin; each retrigger increases the height of the game by one extra line. 

Although the base game’s payouts can be quite good due to Giant Symbols and Golden Blocks, filling up the Magic Flask atop the reels is your number one goal when playing the game. Triggering Free Games after filling the meter will allow the game to use the Flask’s energy to generate Golden Blocks and Wild Chains, which is how the big wins really happen.

This game is packed with symbols and mechanics, making the gameplay feel unique every time that you spin the slot’s reels. In Make It Gold, you’ll be able to fill up a Magic Flask as you make winning combinations and receive payouts. This mechanic is key for triggering bonus rounds and earning the game’s biggest payouts.

Before we explain it further, let’s take a look at the slot’s main symbols: 

• Wilds: Rainbow runes are this game’s multiplier. They substitute all symbols on the reels, except the scatter. 
• Wild Multipliers: There are also wild symbols that come with a multiplier symbol on top of them, which substitute other symbols on the reels and multiply your winnings by the number shown on the multiplier symbol (available during bonus rounds).
• Scatters: The gold-plated “Bonus” symbol is this game’s scatter. You must collect at least four to trigger the game’s bonus round. 
• Golden Blocks: At times, golden blocks appear on the reels. These blocks multiply the winnings by 5 and help fill up the Magic Flask.
• Giant Symbols: when a Giant appears, it’ll occupy up to 4x4 blocks on the reels. They are affected by the cascade mechanic: they’ll fall until they hit the bottom of the reels or a gold block. 
• Coins: these will only appear above a giant symbol. Their values are added to the payout of the win earned by the Giant block. Once cashed, they disappear, making room for new symbols to fall on top of them. 

To generate golden blocks, you need to have energy in the Magic Flask.

Overall, we feel that a newcomer to the slot scene can be overwhelmed by the number of features, symbols and mechanics that the Make It Gold slot has. We found it very fun, though. We liked that the Bonus Buy option allowed us to buy free games, extra golden blocks on the reels, and a mix of various features in true alchemist style.

Magic Flask

The Magic Flask is this game’s main feature. Energy for the Flask starts at zero and accumulates during the base game through regular wins, by triggering special symbols like Giants and Golden Blocks, and Scatters that trigger Free Games. Once activated, the Flask’s energy powers Free Games by creating Golden Blocks and Wild Chains, which can lead to chain reactions of wins and significantly increase your payouts.

If you fill the Magic Flask to 100% during the base game, you unlock Free Games in Hot Mode, where the potential for massive wins is even higher. Hot Mode can also be triggered by landing six Scatters or purchasing with the “Bonus Buy” option in the game’s menu.

The Flask resets between rounds, though: you’ll have to fill it in one spin of the reels. 

Booster Mechanic

The game features three random booster events that enhance your winnings. These are the three types of booster functions that may appear on the reels:

• Substitute all low-paying symbols for high-paying symbols.
• Replace are non-payingsymbols on one of the reels.
• Replace winning symbols with a Giant symbol.

Free Games

Free games are triggered by collecting at least four scatter symbols and can be retriggered during the free spins up to a maximum of 50. These rounds work just like the base game, except for two reasons: Multiplier Wilds increase in value whenever they show up and the Golden Blocks can freeze in place during rounds, allowing for bigger wins and multiple wins in a row. 

Hot Mode

Hot Mode is a type of free game that is triggered if you collect six scatters or if the Magic Flask is filled to 100%. You’ll collect 12 free games and all reels start on height8, with the initial Wild Multiplier value ranging from 2x to 10x. Golden blocks show up more often and they are more likely to freeze during rounds, which makes for a larger “big win” potential.
